Who could have known? Keeping politicians honest is difficult. To do so we must be forever vigilant and forswear diversionary tactics and demand that they do business in the "sunshine" of public forum and referendum.

DREAM Act ... It's Ba-aa-ck!!!

While the nation's attention is riveted on the wildfires in California,Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is reviving and fast-tracking plans to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliends already within U.S. boundaries. In fact, a vote is expected as early as tomorrow, Wednesday, October 24, 2007!

Some of the provisions of the plan, called DREAM for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors, include:

Conditional legal status for any illegal alien who claims to have arrived in the U.S. prior to age 16.
Any illegal alien can apply for the program.

Those who gain legal status then can sponsor any family members, allowing additional millions to access the program.

There would be a ban on deportation for anyone who applies.

Illegals would be granted taxpayer-funded in-state tuition rates for college.

Elliott's organization and others, including Numbers USA, have launched telephone, online and fax petitions for voters to contact their senators and let them know their opinions on the plan.

Bush gives $500 million to Mexicans for drug war

Say what? Why are we giving resource-rich Mexico $500 million to stop the production, transport, or passage of drugs or any contraband? Why isn't Carlos Slim, the world's richest man, or and the other obscenely wealthy Mexican plutocrats funding this program? Why aren't they funding a 21st century, or even 20th century education and health-care system? Why are they not creating industries and jobs that will persuade Mexicans to stay at home, to work and develop Mexico?

The answer is that the business community in the three countries on North America have decided that nationalism, even sovereignty is obsolete, and it better serves their interests to follow the EU model which first would gradually integrate economies, bureaucracies, and then the whole enchilada, a new economic-political entity. And if they follow the model exactly, peoples might be "consulted," but "their betters" will make final decision if referendums give other than a desired result.

Is America's Sovereignty Obsolete?

Where's the outrage over the fact that an American president and Congress would willing give over sovereignty to supranational organizations such as the UN, and are incrementalizing deep harmonization of all of North America. When Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said, “Americans have lost trust in their government” at the Values Voters’ gathering in Washington, DC, there was more than a wee bit of irony in his words.

McCain elaborated on the theme yesterday on “Fox News Sunday,” saying the distrust comes from corruption in Washington, frustration at the Iraq war, incompetence in the Katrina relief and from failure to deal with illegal immigration. The irony is in the confluence of the two McCains: recognition that part of the distrust of government arises from a failure -- now six years after 9-11 -- to secure our borders from incursion by illegal aliens.

McCain’s realization is not shared by President Bush whose press secretaries -- first Tony Snow and now Dana Perino -- have said that he is still convinced he was right in the failed “comprehensive” approach to illegal immigration which translated into amnesty for illegal aliens and would not have secured our borders. It is no exaggeration to say that a nation which does not secure its borders cannot claim sovereignty.

The video is considered too shocking, too raw to be viewed without parental supervision. However, it could, a perhaps should be viewed, and discussed as we are all at risk by being overrun and subjected to Shariah law.

EU Constitution: The "Turnip"; like it or not, you're stuck with it.

The "Turnip" mentioned at Klein Verzet's Lies, big lies and then the EU. They finally have a new government, one that few Europeans want:

Somehow, there are not a lot of people that realize this. But last Friday saw a stealthy, backhanded and decidedly undemocratic regime change. That this has happened without massive revolts around Europe can only be a function of the lies, stealth and deception with which the European political process was accompanoed.

Today in the Sunday Telegraph, Christopher Booker neatly summarizes the massive deception that has been perpetrated under our very noses. One that has culminated in the accepted version of the Turnip last Friday.

Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Robert Spencer was in Belgium all last week, and was given guided tours of Muslim neighborhoods in Antwerp and Brussels. Here are some of his photos. Additional speakers included David Littman, Dr. Arieh Eldad, member of the Israeli Knesset, Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo, Director of the Institute for the Study of Islam and Christianity, Sam Solomon, Director of Fellowship of Faith for Muslims and author of the Charter of Muslim Understanding, Dr. Marc Cogen, Ghent University, Dr. Andrew Bostom, author of The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism, and Laurent Artur du Plessis, author of a forthcoming book on shariah finance. Many participants worldwide also attended the first day of presentations online through webex conferencing.

Armando Manocchio of the Italian organization Una Via per Oriana (“A Way For Oriana”) presented an award to Bat Ye’or in honor of Oriana Fallaci, including a 5,000 Euro scholarship for young journalists.

Additional anti-islamisation experts and activists from the fourteen European countries presented reports on the current state of Islamisation and jihadism in their nations, and citizen efforts to mount a defense of constitutional liberties and national sovereignty, including:

A young male Muslim, and associate of the Hofstad terrorist group, was shot dead after he attacked two police officers in Amsterdam on Sunday. His death sparked Muslim riots in the Slotervaart neighbourhood in western Amsterdam including an attack on the police station!

A Metaphor for Mass Immigration?

Imagine coming home to find a few people, another family sitting in your living room, watching your TV, eating from your refrigerator, sleeping in your bed, wearing your clothes, in other words, living in your house! Wouldn't you have the right have them removed, and even prosecuted? Now multiply that that by five million families, and you can grasp the significance of the insertion of tens of millions into your home, your country. Why isn't this considered to be an invasion?

The jails are filled petty criminals charged with stealing small amounts while those that steal millions, or even billions often are not caught, and if they have been, are not prosecuted. They same can be said of home invaders, the "petty" variety that decided to live in the Alabama woman's home, whereas the mass home invaders that are pouring in over the borders are seen as something different.

A home breaking in Alabama a metaphor for mass immigration? You bet!

Four-Year-Old Rocky is a Racist??

Say what. This is multiculturalism gone mad. Pretty soon newborns will be evaluated in the nursery before being sent home with mom and dad, labeled racist, xenophobe, or even Islamophobic because they react badly the nurses and aides that happen to be of a different ethnic backgroup, with a "strange" accent, draker or lighter skin, or even clothed in an unfamiliar veil:infant Catholic-nun-phobe? Islamic-woman-phobe?
