Americans need to wake up again before another terrorist attack in our nation occurs- one that may very well make the horrors of 9/11 pale in comparison. We need to know who our enemies are and what their plans are. Knowledge empowers ordinary citizens. Project: Restoration Inc, a locally based educational organization, is working in Florida with the Walid Shoebat Foundation to bring a timely and critical event to Brevard County: Wake Up America: Confessions of Three Ex- Terrorists. This event will be held at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, FL on Monday February 25, 2008 from 7:00- 9:00 PM. The three men, Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem, and Zak Anani were all former Islamic terrorists who now seek to expose the methods and means of Islamic terrorism networks in the US and around the world. In doing so, they risk their lives, but they have bravely determined that it is a risk worth taking to save lives and lifestyles in our world today. We too, believe that their efforts to protect Americans against terrorism are a cause worth the investment of our time and money. Our event will also feature an assessment of the terrorism threat in Florida by Michael Ackerman of the Ackerman Group, an organization specializing in counter-terrorism around the world.

An event of this nature is costly in terms of security, travel, advertising and basic operations. However, we believe that the people of Brevard County and surrounding areas will agree that this is an important event for our area, considering that we have both the Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral in our backyard—two potentially attractive terrorist targets. Project: Restoration is seeking sponsors who believe that Floridians need to wake up and hear this message in order to protect our families and our way of life from those who want to destroy both. As Americans, we want to continue to live our lives in safety on our own soil and exercise our freedoms as we have done for over 200 years. Terrorists want to tear away these two basic foundations of the American way of life. No American wants to live in a nation where fear and intimidation and violence rule.
