Although "flag waving is (one of) the last bastions of scoundrels," the below awe inspiring work of art brings forth tears.
The artist, Ray 'Bubba' Sorenson, is a local teen, and, the rock canvass has been a symbol of teen angst, sporting typical slogans and obscenities. Now it sports a different kind of rebellion: that of the American spirit.
The depicted American flag appears to be draped over the top, but inspection of all sides of the rock show that it is actually painted on the rock.
The artist has included some other heart-tugging images showing that not all teens have been infected by Anti-Americanism.
Hint: A reminder of what it takes to keep us free!
Look carefully to see the image of Washington Crossing the Delaware situated along side that of the 9-11 explosion:
A quote from Thomas Jefferson:

And here's the young man himself, Ray 'Bubba' Sorenson:
Good job, Ray!
Very inspiring piece of art. It's very unlikely that teens like Ray are actually passionate about their country. There are lots of talented kids out there who take their skills for granted and waste them on doing drugs and going with bad companies. Good thing there are still teens out there who are actually doing something worthwhile. Keep them coming Ray!
