Actions speak louder than words, and the horrific world-wide emotional and physical violence against women speaks loudly, making my skin crawl to me whenever I even hear the world "Islam" or imagine that Muslims are power OR influence in the United States. For this reason I vehemently oppose the Cordoba House project that is currently underway in Manhattan at the site of Ground Zero whether or not the murder of thousands on September 11, 2001 can be pinned on Islam.
I do not want Islam to be give legitimacy to make inroads into U.S. culture ... period.
Pam Geller at Atlas Shurgs, Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch and others leading the charge have been labeled "racist" and "bigoted" in order to blunt their criticism. Instead of disapprobation, they should be given medals for exposing the lie of Islam's so-called tolerance and humane feelings towards all.
In case you have been living under a rock and have not heard of honor killings, female genital mutilation, burqas, etc., etc., etc., here is a symposium hosted by Front Page's Jamie Glazov that explores "the impulse that clearly lies behind this crime [of honor killing] against women: the fear and hatred of women's sexuality.
Frankly I don't care what people believe as long as they don't impose their beliefs on others, a core principle of the U.S. Constitution that will be lost if Islam and Sharia law gain a foothold anywhere within the United States, and in particular in a prominent location.
Thank goodness that some recognize the effort to to destroy Western civilization from within.
Just revealed: the mosque project is based on a lie: the developers of own only half of the construction site. Pray that this will be enough to bring authorities to their senses before it's too late!
Although many Muslims eschew suicide bombings and other anti-social behaviors, until I hear a condemnation of repression against women, and see actions that back their words, I will never accept Islam as faith worthy to be anywhere within the United States.
Update: Here's an example of what I would not want in my community.
Straight from the horses' mouth: "We Muslims know the Ground Zero mosque is mean to be deliberate provocation
