Terrorism expert Michael Evans chilled the day yesterday by disclosing what he has recently learned about Iran.
Mr. Evans disclosed that Iran has plans set to join the Iraq insurgency full force this summer. Iran's object is to finish off what is left of America's Congress so that they will stampede America's exit from Iraq.
But, that is not all, and not the worst.
Simultaneously, Iran plans to activate Hamas and Hizbullah agents already in America to begin an open terror campaign within America.
Iran (Ahmadinejad, et al) and Al Qaeda (bin Laden) have joined forces!
These disclosures have been poorly publicized among the American public but are said to be known at high levels of government. From what we have already experienced, and, for those of us who can think and read and are willing to do both simultaneously, these disclosures are entirely plausible.
We think that American citizens will not wait for lethargic and politically correct machinery of internal defense to do something to stop all this. In fact, if we begin having a series of events comparable to those of 11 September 2001 occuring on American soil, there will not be enough police and national guard to stop the wrath of Americans.
However, we have every reason to ask just what our government has been doing to neutralize Iran and protect Americans.
If these disclosures come to pass, they do so with American leadership worse than the days of Jimmy Carter. Both houses of Congress are impotent and can be expected to do only opportunistic and self-aggrandizing actions focused against George W. Bush and not for America's safety and sovereignty. America's Congress may possibly be the worst in American history.
But, wait. There's more.
Sitting in the White House, ready to match every Congressional incompetence, is quite possibly the worst president in the history of America. He may well be worse than Jimmy Carter because he is so very dangerous.
While the news about Iran's summer offensive took center thought yesterday, some things said by Michael Savage, radio talk show host, really pumped-up concerns about America in the near-term. Savage looked at Bush's pattern over the past six years, which is something many of us have been talking about for a long time.
By our reckoning, the essential Bush history is the following:
- Total ignorance about Islam, Iraq, Iran, and the Middle East.
- Total failure to pursue justice for the events of 11 September 2001.
- Total commitment to wasting American blood and treasure in the Middle East for an open-ended length of time while ensuring that American interests are sacrificed totally to people of no value to us. This includes the unwillingness to declare war and to mobilize the nation. This goes beyond merely running a NO WIN policy.
- Absolutely guaranteeing that Iran will become nuclear, will become the Nazi Germany equivalent in the Middle East, and will bring savage horror to the American homeland.
- Total commitment to porous international borders in a time of war and disregard of national security.
- Total commitment to condoning a steady invasion of illegals into America and making not one sincere effort to control the flow or to know who are those coming over. Assuming these are benign Mexican peasants looking for a job may cover some of the invaders; however, we know that terrorist jihadists have been flowing through for years. Only Border Patrol agents have been prosecuted.
- Massive growth of government and turning that government more and more against legitimate American citizens instead of the obvious enemies.
That list has not changed throughout the Bush presidency. Everybody cut Bush total slack after 11 September 2001, in our mutual national interest. Bush misused that credit and good will extended him by pursuing matters which seem blacker and blacker with time. We are at the point now where we can begin to wonder just which side Bush is really on.
It is not the side of the Middle East, nor is it the side of the USA. Which side is it? To what or whom is Bush allegiant?
Were he not so pathologically secretive, we might not be asking these questions. However, there are things, such as the foregoing list, that Bush will not talk about or talks so evasively about that one feels caught in some massive and evil shell game.
Savage called Bush's the "Trojan horse presidency." He went on to predict something very chilling indeed. He predicted that the remaining year and a half of the Bush regime will outdo the preceding six years in terms of damage to America. With nothing to lose, Bush will pursue his secretive agenda, whatever that is, with full vigor. He knows that no one will attempt to impeach him. Even if they did try, he would still have those 18 months to use for his purposes.
We have opined that Bush "peter principled" to reach his incompetence following the events of 11 September 2001. We have opined also that a battered, incompetent Bush really has "retired on active duty," awaiting someone, anyone, to get elected so that he can move out of the White House pronto. These seem as plausible now as when first discussed. And, they are not incompatible with a "Trojan horse presidency."
The big problem is the shield of opacity Bush has about him and his cronies.
The one thing he cannot hide is the history of his behavior as president. He cannot hide the dangerousness of his presidency to America. This is his legacy. America will have to live that legacy for the rest of this century.
The comment box came up fine. Not sure what the problem was lastnight. Still agree with you. The Republican elites need to quit fiddling and take action to stop Bush or the Republican Party will be out of power for a long time.
