Is there really "global warming"? Well, here are the relevant answers: "Yes," "No," and "Who cares?" Having given the answers, let's get down to the relevant questions.
- "Yes" : The globe has been warming since the "Little Ice Age," which started in the 13th century and ended about mid-19th century. It was a mini-version of those big daddy ice ages that have come and gone on Mother Earth for billions of years. Global warming and global cooling have been going on forever and will continue as long as there is an Earth.
Here is a scientific syllogism:
- The earth has cooled, has warmed, many times in the past.
- There is NO climate "steady state" in nature.
- Therefore, the earth will continue to warm and cool until it ceases to exist.
In short, if earth is not cooling, then it is warming. It is not standing still, thermally speaking. These are just the facts.
- "No" : The correct question to this answer is, "Are humans the cause of the current warming?"
Think about it. Humans have been around only a few hundred million years in any "human"-like form. For the billions of years prior to humans, Mother Earth warmed and cooled over and over. Not a single human contributed to "global warming" or to "global cooling"--then, now, or at any time in the future.
Humans, singly, in groups, or en masse do not have such influence or powers. Who or what does? Why, Mother Nature herself.
Here is a stunning illustration of Mother Nature. The earth had been warming since the end of the "Little Ice Age" in the mid-1800s, until 1883. Warming abruptly leveled off and did not resume until deep into the 20th century. Why? Because, on Monday, August 27, 1883, the Indonesian volcano Krakatoa erupted. The atmospheric effects from this single eruption lasted decades.
- "Who cares?" : The question that produced this answer is "What can we Americans (or any other nationality of earthling) do to slow or stop any global warming?" Not a damned thing. After all, we do not have sufficient powers, nor have we ever had. So, in that sense, who cares?
We can, however, do something about the adverse effects on us, but neither stop nor slow the fundamental process.
This means that we can--and should--go capitalistic. By that, I mean, go fully laissez faire capitalist. Reason and technology can deal with the adverse effect such as needing to modify cultivation and live away from flooding coast lines.
Enter the enviro-communists, led by none other than that august body known as Al Gore. What Al and all the other pseudo-environmentalists want is "medieval communism." (There are bona fide scientists who deserve the title of "environmentalists".) So, they deserve to become known as the "enviro-communists."
All of their verbiage is directed toward concealing their actual agenda and motives. They want to seem scientific, but the solutions they desire belie them. They also want to seem "moral." Gore is using "moral" whenever he can to aid duping the public. They want to turn their agenda into a "moral crusade."
Recall those specialized multiple choice questions on tests like College Boards. Remember the one that has the two independent clauses, each to be evaluated as true or false, after which you decide whether the two are related or not. Let us illustrate with this enviro-communist myth:
- The earth is warming up.
- Humans are causing as well as aggravating the warming.
The Gore-ites want you to conclude that statement A is true, that statement B is true, and that they are causally related, i.e., true.
Here is the truth:
- A (possibly) is true.
- B is false.
- A and B are not causally related.
For example, all the industrial output of so-called "green house gases," since the beginning of capitalism in the mid-18th century cannot even approach the green house gas output of one, small eruption of any volcano. People are being taken for suckers.
All enviro-communist verbiage is directed toward concealing their actual agenda and motives. Yes, they want to seem scientific and moral, but their proposals, demands, and actions tell the truth. Their goal is to destroy all manifestations of capitalism, every vestige. That is what I meant by "medieval communism": communism, as the means to destroy capitalism; and, living at the level of the worst medieval serf is their end. If you want to understand ALL of these enviro-communists, read Jean Jacques Rousseau, the first of their ilk.
Keeping the foregoing answers and questions straight in your mind will give the middle finger sign to these enviro-communists.
Allahu Capitalism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
